Application to perform at
The Mine is Yours Festival
Saturday, 1st October 2022
The Mine Is Yours Festival will be held at the Lancashire Mining Museum, Astley and will involve a range of performances over a number of locations at the festival site. We are looking for a range of artists, preferably with local connections, to perform throughout the day, from 11.00am through to 6.30pm. We will also require a few artists from 7pm – 9.30pm. The acts that we are looking for will cover the range from traditional performances to contemporary arts. Music, poetry, dance and drama are all forms of performance that we would be interested in, as well as demonstrations of traditional crafts and pastimes.

Feedback
Healthy Arts offer a personal and professional service for organisations working with the arts and heritage sectors. Projects are always delivered on time, to budget and with excellent feedback and engagement responses from participants and visitors. Julie and Martin have many years of experience of working with a wide range of organisations and groups and we would not hesitate to work with them in the future.
‘One of the strengths of Healthy Arts is that they listen to people and take into account what they hear. Bob and Julie sensitively adapted what they did by responding to the needs of their participants. Some of whom had complex mental health needs. They also coped well with the fluctuating numbers of people, which can be an aspect of working with people with long term mental health difficulties. From the beginning to the end they were friendly, professional and well organised. Thanks again for a smashing project.
I cannot find the words to express my gratitude and thanks. The difference Healthy Arts has made to our lives is phenomenal. I wish we had access to them years ago. If there were more groups and sessions made up of dedicated caring people like Healthy Arts, the countrys health and wellbeing would be greatly improved. We look forward to more sessions and long may Healthy Arts continue.
Just wanted to thank you again for a fabulous session. I will be emailing the Social Inclusion Team and Chief Executive to say how well you interacted with the patients and facilitated a stimulating, confidence-enhancing and downright enjoyable session.
